Some good old southern rock with an edge. Kings Of Leon have a strong third album here that I wish I would have found sooner. This is very addictive stuff, the songs will get in your head. Somehow I hear some 38 special here but a bit darker and harder and better. I would love to see them live - supposedly their shows are quite good. You can't ignore the amazing guitar on this album and combined with the lyrics I have to agree with the critics, they might just be one of the best US bands around. Arizona, Ragoo, True Love Way and Black Thumbnail are places to start.

Hi Mark, I had no idea that your talent went this far. I must visit this site more often and get some of your ideas of music. I am wondering if you have heard of the CD Acid Tongue, I forget the name of the woman but I am pretty sure that is the name of the CD and lucinda Williams latest CD, although I do notice that most of the CDs you talk about are male. By the way we are of to the Who concert next year and the opening act is Counting Crows, I am very excited by it, they are here in March. Did you get to the Steely Dan concert and if so did you like it. I am very keen to hear what you thought.
I have never thought about the gender of the artists I listen to but now I will pay more attention. Steely Dan is this weekend so I plan on posting a concert review afterwords. Never heard of Acid Tongue or Lucinda Williams, I will have to check them out. Thanks for reading and commenting!
